FUCK Al Gore. Give me a break. It's funny how the the global warming denying exists in places where people are least directly effected by it. It's not a coincidence, George. Science doesn't matter. Of course. Who wants to bother talking about "bacteria" and other dangerous results of global warming? A bunch of squishy crap in the ocean? What else is new!

I'm not trying to convert anyone. This isn't a religion. I simply said that this issue is old and even our ancestors understood that our place in the world should be not to destroy/change it fundamentally, which we have.

If you are agnostic as you say, that is fine. But it's not a metaphysical issue like God or Jesus - there is actual evidence of this, and it is rapidly approaching (rapid, if you consider the earth's evolution on the billions of years scale. the change is that fast) the point when even the midwest will see the results.

I love MV's chats with his wife. I thought it was a great opening except for the guy who said "where's da moosic". I had to log off to finish some reading, but nice job MV!

Back to M's original point, I would like to hear more conversations about what people do for a living, especially conversations like what Borr has had, when would I  EVER get to hear the inside track on what he does for a living.  That was cool and unlike anything else we are going to hear on the radio.  (well except I know that Noory sounds a lot like sewer trash).  So MV, more interviews of listeners and local people with strange jobs or hobbies.
thanks for saying that, because i took some shit for getting into that conversation with borr, despite the fact i found it to be supremely intersting listening to him describe what he does.  many others did as well, yourself included.  i think i'm just going to have to ignore what people tell me to do or not do on the show from here on and just do what i want to do.  it's absolutely impossible to please everybody and i make myself crazy trying to do it.  at the end of it all, i'm just happy a single person would listen to my show, whether they hate it/me or not.

Fry's Girl - I was more or less just making fun of you, not trying to honestly imply that you are trying to convert anyone.  Everyone has an opinion on GW and I just had to jump in....you know what they say about opnions.  Just remember these key point from my post and we are golden:

That's fine. I wasn't directing my comments at you entirely. I was just making the point that its no accident that the leading member of the climate change denying is from Oklahoma, where the effects are much less direct in the present time. Honestly, it's not even regular Joes who are going to make the real difference in this. The politicians are in charge. Exxon Mobil could stop selling gas to the US and it would be just as profitable. There are other petro products that make ExxonM just fine and stable.
But the Saudis have been working on alternative energy and fuel for a few decades, while we have been fighting expensive and useless wars that seem to profit a few. Great. Left behind again.

Now I have to call in and talk about sewer treatment all the time. If I have detractors, then I must torment them. And now I must go cry into a pillow.

The only things I'm an expert in are video games and far east masturbation techniques. I found your call interesting myself. I wanted to ask if you ever found any bags of weed still in tact. I obviously wouldn't smoke it at that point, but hey...I'm just curious. Paranoid teenagers flush it all the time at the ring of a doorbell, so I figured you probably must have run into it at least once.

When we pull the pump floats in the influent well (where the sewer water first enters the plant) to clean then (otherwise they would get too heavy to float and the pumps would burn up) we do find condoms will with looks like coke or whatever caught up in all the other junk that tangles around the cords. Used syringes are also a commons sight. We just toss it all in the burn barrel.

I can see the condoms with coke but the used syringes is definitely a surprise. I never imagined people who bang flushing their needles, but now that I think of it, it's better than leaving them in the ballpit at the local McDonalds.

NO MV!

Well - either something is wrong and we need to be sensitive -

Or he's a douche and we need to beat the crap out of him.

The next airing of MVDRT will be Saturday, August 1 at 6PM US Central Time.  We'll bring you this week's special guest host Yasmin O. Turnbull, a public health dietitian from Dunbarton, NH.

We'll get a proper chatroom set up before the show airs.  I know that the last time we did a live show (over a month ago), the chat interface blew goat.

Well punch me in the tits, Saturday night is definitely already taken for me. Huge birthday kegger/bonfire thing for a friend of mine. It's gonna be boss fucking hog.

How long do you expect the show to go? Till between 8 and 9, I'd assume? I could try calling from the party. It's closer to the city so my cell actually gets pretty decent reception.

Well, since my girlfriend broke up with me (she got her haircut) I won't have anything better to do Saturday night than to call in and talk about herdin' turds.

I wanted to show off the latest - and hopefully LAST (for a while) incarnation of my "splash" for MVRT.  It's not hard - but any of you who do photo-manipulation know it takes time.   I'm gonna listen Sunday - are you?

Oh - BTW, MV -- I still like the avatar of you and your wife best - but here is an avatar size of your splash should you ever be so inclined:

ok, people.  look.  i'm sorry to be so utterly undependable as it pertains to this god damned show.  but here's the scoop.

i'm going to be gone for the next week (beginning tomorrow) taking care of business, and today is the last day my wife will have to spend freely with me.  she's begged me not to do the show tonight, and i kinda have to listen to her.

soooo... the show is now pushed back to sunday, august 9 at 5PM US central time.  visit UFOShip.com for further information.

and ev... thx for the mvdrt art!
