Real World side-effects of Nuri-think
« on: December 09, 2009, 12:11:30 PM »
SO, I had breakfast this morning with a friend of mine at the local non-corporate caffeination station, and during the course of our discourse about crack-potteries various, one of the local gasoline-fume sniffing Nooristas occupying an adjacent table proceeded, unsolicited mind you, to enlighten us a la Alex Jones with “facts” that were beyond dispute and proof of the Satanic Conspiracy of Masonic New World Order-hood.

I am a firm believer in the right to free speech, and, I suppose, since my discussion was happening in a public venue I don’t get to bark about privacy concerns.  However, the appalling lack of civic politeness and civility to which we have devolved really irritates me.  Neither I, nor my friend actively sought out this mono-brow’s input, yet he eagerly dove into a private discussion and tossed around Jones-Nuri “facts” with the condescension of a zealot.

Now, for the record, I have an extensive history background and my life’s hobby has been military history.  Having said that let me make this ABUNDANTLY clear:
Contrary to this interloper's avowel,
Pierre Charles L'Enfant was a military engineer, trained at the Louvre.  He was part of the French contingent that came over with Lafayette to aid the 13 colonies in their civil war with the Britannic motherland. When he designed Washington DC, he designed it to be militarily defensible.  There are NO hidden Satanic-Masonic-New World Order symbols contained within the design any more than there is a “Face” on Mars.

These so-called “symbols” are the result of “matrixing” by paranoid, delusional, conspiratorial nutcases (think Hoaxland, Jones & Nuri).  The actual reason for the layout of main streets and thoroughfares and the arrangement of the “circles” is that each circle was designed to be a defensive redoubt in time of conflict and those long, wide streets are designed to be artillery “kill zones”.  The street angles are based on the technology of the time and the maximum effective overlapping field of fire using the artillery available.  They are NOT hidden pentagrams, invocations to Satan,  stargates or portals, fun though these things might be to pretend.  They are killing zones, plain and simple.

Work on the city was unfinished and the redoubts were NOT used in the 1812 war when we abandoned and the British burnt Washington DC in retaliation for the American forces burning the Canadian Parliament buildings in York, Canada (now Toronto).

They WERE however used during the Civil War, and for their intended purpose—defense of the Capitol.  A cursory search of Civil War photos in the Library of Congress will show defensible redoubts, armed with artillery in those same “circles” that are purported to be nodes or anchor points of pentacles or whatever, REGARDLESS of what one reads online, one’s toaster whispers or one or hears on C2C to the contrary.

OK…now that I have got that off my chest, THANK YOU!  Any questions?
(and yesssss, if you wear your tin-foil hat all "getto" it won't block the control rays nearly as efficiently!)

I tried to be polite, he insisted on "sharing".  I tried to be brusque, he became more insistant on sharing.  Finally I laid into him and told him that he was the type of person who drove Art Bell off the air, had Jesus killed and got Star Trek cancelled.  In the momentary lull caused by my shock-n-AHHhhh...I made my escape, after closing with a variation of the "tin foil hat" comment.  Best he could conjure as a parting shot was that I was obviously one of "them", which led to the LOUD rejoinder: "one of THEM?  You mean heterosexual? Why, yes, YES I am.  Sorry to disappoint you."  That pretty much sealed it.

You are absolutely correct though regarding those "people" and I learned long ago it is useless trying to have any sort of discussion, debate or good, ole fashioned knock-down-drag-out argument with them.  I have reached an age where poking lunatics with a stick no longer has much thrill for me and I would rather nap...

i just turned 30.  while i do feel like i'm getting old, my intellect tells me that i'll one day feel 30 was nothing.

point is... i'm only 30 and i already feel the same way you do when it comes to engaging people in debate or otherwise attempting to educate them.  i'd rather keep to myself and enjoy the things from which i am able to extract some modicum of pleasure.  this feeling of indifference toward the idiocy of others is very new for me.  only came within the last 3 years or so.  holy shit.  this probably means that as i continue to grow and change, by 50 i'll be totally uninterested in whether or not the power bill is even paid.  what is happening to me!?!?!?!?!!!!!!  AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

By the way...

Is anyone aware of the details of the "Mayan Calendar 2012" math?  I am just curious if the lack of zero was taken into account by the wunderkind(er) who have arrived at the profoundly arbitrary (but strangely satisfying) sequence of 12-21-2012  (or 21-12-2012 to our transatlantic cousins [which methodology is by the way part of my whole argument against the whole bloody thing in the first place]).

All I've heard is that the when the Julian calendar switch is taken into account we end up with a date in 2008.

But - it generates more listeners, and more revenue - to say the sky is falling in the FUTURE.

and then there's THIS:
http://news.discovery.com/space/aurora-mystery-solved.html

Is it a portal?  Nibiru? a mothership? an angel?
Has tricky Dick talked about this and told us that the official answer in a lie?  Can he wired up his old wristwatch and give us a Hyperbolic pataphysics insight?  So many questions...

A-HA!

The sure-fire universal panacea!  Will keep away grays, jam implants, banish shadow people, provide portal sheilding, retune your hyperdimensional phonoclastics and block liberal radio!  This should be in EVERY survival kit with the magic seeds, gold stock certificates and the C Crane wind-up thingum.  I get semi-turgid and the very thought of hearing the Gilded Turd shill for this baby!  Can you imagine?  Just think of the commercial hilarity!
