Give it up.When I was a member of the press core that covered Mr. Clinton  in Arkansas when he was Governor, you'd understand that man a lot better.

He turned me on to Christian Dior suits. And since 1990, I have one myself.

Mr. Clinton was not some druglord. And say what you want -- but you were never part of a press-core that dictated his every move. Say what you want, but I respect Mr. Bill Clinton. Having known and been around him him firsthand.

Mr. Clinton may have been a professional politician, but I enjoyed my time with him.

I have several friends and acquaintences that are high level policy wonks in NC and a few of them have had significant face time with Bill Clinton. Nothing but enthusiastic compliments about him. Hard working, extremely versed on all aspects of the topics to be discussed, very astute at seeing both sides of an issue. When I asked about any feelings of a sinister side they laughed.

I don't think you can really know the dark side of a man,
when you know him from the job you described.
I am sure he is a nice fellow to be around, and you can have lots of fun with George Bush and Rumsfeld (whom I really like too - from his TV appearance).

Having said that, the evidence that he covered up murder in order to protect the illegal CIA drug smuggling at Mena/Arkansas is pretty clear - especially to the mothers who's teenage boys got murdered when they got too close. And that's just two of his crimes.
google "clinton body count" and you get a list of 100s of people who worked close to him or for him that got murdered. Of course he didn't do it personally, but these were guys that got too close to one of his secrets.

I know.  While I don't think he was one of the best, he was a boy scout compared to what we've endured since.

I was raised in a deeply democrat family, my mom and dad serving on the local precinct committee and serving as national convention delegates.  Therefore my 2 cents here are not offered to be argumentative to GuerrillaUnReal or from a place of party affiliated contempt (believing that heads or tails, it's the same damn coin).  I do not even rely on Mena, the body counts of others who were "Vince Fostered", phony ass non-inhalations, stained dresses, or what the meaning of "is" is to accept the reality of the smirking Clinton legacy. 

My dad was a first-generation Mexican immigrant, heavy equipment mechanic, and an AFL-CIO representative who respected the making and fixing of things and the ability and knowledge to do so.  Yes, he taught us to not just buy American goods, but to make them.  And so merely based on the slash-and-burn, sell the farm and prop up the checkbook ledger until the next guys find out there's nobody left to pay the bills, Nafta/Cafta/shafta rah rah, tech and manufacturing sellout orgy that this guy hosted- I'd say he is arguably one of the best presidents this country ever had precisely because there are so many people who actually believe that he is arguably one of the best presidents this country has ever had!  But that's about it.

So hey, that's just my opinion based on my ignorance of all the true facts regarding the really sleazy conspiratorial Clinton factiod allegations.  Not that I think he's a bad guy.  I think it would be great to blaze and chill to some Hendrix with the dude.

i voted for bush twice.  by the end of it all, i missed clinton.  can't believe i'm saying that.  actually, i think what i missed more was the combination of clinton and the republican house/senate who forced him to move right of where he started.

I apologize, it seems like I am following your posts and arguing with them. It seems that way because it is how it is happening today.

I voted for Clinton both times not because he was my first choice but because bush 1 and dole were not even close to my values. I am prochoice... up to the 53 trimester. I support all people to live their lives as they want... especially in the bedroom. I believe we as americans deserve a safety net that reaches much further than ours does now.

When you say screw with your life I am not sure what you mean. Do I believe in checks and balances? absofrikkenlutely; gridlock goes way beyond that. But even so I do not see that as entirely bad. But the spin that comes from that gridlock and the misinformation that is spewed because of it is sickening.

It was partyly Art Bell and all the Clinton hate that got me into talk radio.

I was a Clinton fan back then as a teenager, and I noticed how a lot of radio host took what he did SO PERSONALLY.

And then ridiculous accusations of having Vince Foster killed, Drug running from mena, having illegitimate children with black hookers - the list went on and on!

It was at that point I promised myself I'd never hate a politician PERSONALLY, as you sound quite crazy...

This is just pure cultural laziness and medical profession greed.  The ethical debate surrounding abortion reaches a higher magnitude when it is simply used as an alternative means of contraception.  Our society has effectively hollowed-out all meaning of personal accountability.  But, I don't want to start an abortion debate. /

Actually, I have to be a hypocrite here, I have to revise what I said about Clinton.  We should never forget Serbia.
That's the one thing I can never forgive Clinton for.  He bombed our ally Serbia into the stone age unnecessarily.
