Did not sound well tonight. His voice is usually so pleasant and nice, avuncular... now he sounds so sick. Wasn't a big fan of his other work, but respected his alien abduction research.

And I did not know he and Strieber had/have an ongoing hissy fit/cat fight/feud etc. Hopkins all but called Strieber a loon.

I don't think McSnoorster would've let it fly, but Knapp just let Bud have at it. Heh.

Good show, but yeah his hacking cough and wheezing was a bit distracting. Worth it though.

bud hopkins is doing more harm to the UFO issue than good.  his misuse of hypnosis to 'recall suppressed memories' is just terrible.  by asking leading questions he's basically using hypnosis to create false memories in the minds of his 'patients'. the guy is trained as an artist.  he's not an MD.  or a PhD.

I understand your reservations, but does someone need 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of med school and a few years residency in order to be 'legit'?

How can outrageous, earth-shattering info be gleaned with real training? According to David Jacobs, it's not possible.

I almost shit myself when I heard that last night. Hey, I'm all over auto didacts, self learners, etc, but to claim a trained hypnotherapist *can't* regress an abductee was lunacy.
