hi. there used to be a link in the main menu to view the terms of service. however, when the forum software was recently updated, it broke the modification package that generates the terms of service link. i need to take some time and come up with a good way to get that link back in the menu.
the registration agreement is completely identical to the terms of service, so if you have seen that, you're up to speed. however, for those who are curious, here are the terms of service:

Registration: When you complete registration at CoastGab.com, parts of your account information might be submitted for review as an anti-spam measure. If your account falls under administrator review, it will likely be approved within 12 hours. You'll be notified by email when this process is completed. The email might contain an account activation link which you must click in order to begin posting messages on the site. If you do not receive an email activation link to click, then your account is already activated and you may begin posting messages. If your account is not approved and you believe this decision to be in error, please contact the site administrator by emailing admin@coastgab.com including your username. We will address your concerns as quickly as possible.
Posting Links: Linking to other sites (including other forums) in your posts is both allowed and encouraged. Please do not link to illegal content or pornography.
Flaming: Flaming is defined as a hostile and insulting interaction between users. Please use common sense and keep the sensibilities of others in mind when posting. You'll have a great time at CoastGab by doing so. Also, do not use this site to flame users of other message boards.
Topic Hijacking: Our conversations often go off-track. It's the natural order of things around here. However, we ask that you not deliberately and repeatedly derail threads.
Trolling: Trolling is when one submits posts only for the purpose of angering or baiting users. Repeated trolling posts that cause problems for the board will result in account deactivation.
Repeat Topics/Posts: Please do not create a new thread if an existing thread already addresses the same subject. It's best if you look for similar threads before starting a new one. CoastGab's search feature will help you to check the site for existing threads. Also, please do not post the same message in multiple threads. Moderators will merge similar threads and delete duplicate posts as needed.
Harassment: Do not stalk or harass other users. We encourage victims of stalking and/or harassment to contact the site administrator.
Libel/Defamation: You agree that you will not post any defamatory or libelous material about any person living or dead. CoastGab is not responsible for the content of your posts, but you are. Remember that images implying immoral or illegal behavior on the part of a person or group can also be defamatory.
Posting Copyrighted Material: Our forum administrators do not and will not actively enforce copyright law on this forum. Legal precedent establishes that it is not CoastGab's responsibility to monitor copyright compliance on the part of users. It is the responsibility of the copyright owner. CoastGab administrators will remove copyrighted content only when it is formally requested by the content's owner that we do so. Do not attach copies of the radio show Coast to Coast AM to your posts. However, you are allowed to link to Coast to Coast AM shows if they reside on another server.
Forum Display Names/Avatars/Profile: Please use common sense and keep your forum name, profile, and avatar within reason. The rules for posts and images should serve as a guide. Please do not use your avatar to insult or attack another member or CoastGab as a whole.
Signatures: The content rules for posts also apply to signatures. Please keep them under 10 lines of text or a maximum image size of 600 x 150 (or a combination that come to approximately the same size). Do not use your signature to attack or insult another member or CoastGab as a whole.
Unwelcome Content: Please do not post any photo or text depicting or insinuating pornographic acts. Do not post illegal material, death photos, or similarly offensive material. We want this site to remain "cubicle safe."
Bullying/Threatening: Please do not bully or threaten members of this board. Always try to be courteous to your fellow board members. It benefits everybody if our community is one in which people can feel comfortable and open.
Personal Information: Do not publish any personal information about a forum member if it hasn't already been made public by that member on this site. This includes email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, names, URLs, or IP addresses. Do not request private information about another member.
Impersonation: Do not impersonate an actual person. Do not duplicate or imitate another forum member's name. If you share the same avatar as another user, please resolve this by changing your avatar.
Multiple Accounts: Forum members may have only one account. If the system detects that you have created a second account and you believe this to be in error, please notify an administrator.
Moderation/Moderators: You may publicly discuss questions about rules. Everyone can learn from that. However, please keep in mind it is not appropriate to publicly discuss the moderation of yourself or anyone else. If you have questions about why you have been moderated, please direct those questions to the moderator whose name appears in the "edited by" section at the bottom of your post. Please use the Private Message system when doing so. The moderator will then explain his/her decision to you. Please remember that this forum's moderators are human just like you. They're here to have fun and participate. They should be treated no differently than any other user while discussing topics. Moderators make judgment calls on a case-by-case basis and act as fairly as possible. Please treat them fairly in return.
Reporting Posts: Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable should contact us by clicking "report to moderator" in the offending post. We will make an effort to remove objectionable messages within a reasonable amount of time if we believe removal is necessary.
Questionable Actions and Content: These forum rules are not and can not be designed to cover every scenario. Please note that if a user's participation at CoastGab is found to be generally harmful or counterproductive, his/her account will be disabled with or without warning.
Global Messages: On rare occasions, a CoastGab administrator might send an email message to all registered users. If you prefer not to receive these messages, please de-select the appropriate setting in your user configuration panel.
Property: All original text, images, audio files, and other works publicly posted on this forum and hosted on this forum's server shall immediately become the property of CoastGab.com and its owners. In this context, the term "original" is meant to describe a work conceived of and/or created by a user, free of any external copyright constraints. CoastGab.com reserves the right to use said text and/or works in any fashion desired and for any purpose for any length of time. Coastgab.com does not claim ownership of original works hosted on external servers for viewing on this forum.
Account Deletion: The deletion of CoastGab user accounts is not allowed. If you would like to end your CoastGab membership, we ask that you simply discontinue your use of the forum.
Message Deletion/Modification: Users have 1 hour to delete or modify a post. When a post remains beyond the 1 hour grace period, it may no longer be deleted or modified. This rule protects the continuity, context, and flow of pages within the forum.
