Signing in bounces me back to wrong thread

I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, and it's a minor thing, but If I'm reading a thread and decide to sign in to post a reply, I get bounced to a completely different thread  after the page refreshes.

I Just signed in on this page and it worked fine, but I found it happening in another scenario now too.
I had one window open on the homepage, and one window opened on a thread. After clicking on a recent thread (from the homepage) to open in a new window (basically opening a 3rd window), the homepage window loaded the same thread too.

It seems that having multiple browser windows open is causing some strange things to occur.
I'm running firefox btw.

it could very well be the case that a cookie is getting stored in one browser and not the other, and perhaps that is jacking things up.  then again, that's a total guess on my part.  the forum software version we are using is actually a "release candidate" of the software, and the final version should be released soon.  this problem, and any others you might be experiencing (which hopefully are very limited), should be resolved when the final build is released.  however, i'm still going to inquire over at simplemachines.org (the people who make this forum software) and see if anyone else has noticed this.  thx for the heads up.
