i wonder if the AMA is as pissed off about that show as some people at CG seem to be.  AMA tends to get down right militant when people make outrageous claims about cancer cures

     After another Art, Ian, and Knapp weekend, it would have been damned near impossible for George not to suck.  I'll admit that my mind wandered off a few times during the interview, but given the subject matter, the colonization of earth by aliens, I should have been transfixed, on the edge of my seat, learning all about these aliens, and where they're from, and what are they doing, and how come we don't arrest them, but instead the interview was a boring mess.
     Here is an exchange from the last hour:
     Caller:  "George, last week you did a fascinating show on how humans were being mutilated by aliens..."
     George: "Yes."
     Art did the show on mutilation, not George.  Didn't George know that?  What's wrong with him?  Also during the last hour Moondog, of Night Hawk Zone fame, called in and said that he was abducted by aleins fifteen years ago.  And he's just getting around to telling us?  And no mention of the call by Badboy at NHZ?  Huh?
     Whatever.

I heard portions of Art's interview about human abuductions and it was scary.  It made me feel like they were near and listening to the show, too, just waiting and observing to find their next victim.  The last few evenings after dark my thought have fleetingly returned to that interview and I get a shiver in my soul.
Last nite was more of an informational interview and there was a lot.  I did not listen to all of it, but went back and streamed some of if for clarification, and I learned new facts that I did not pick up on the first time I heard the interview.  Badboy probably did not want to be upstaged by Moondog.  It is hard to follow an experience like being abducted, even if it was fifteen years ago.

     Probably one of the more insightful comments in all of Snorology.  How else does one explain last night's show with con artist Dr. Bob Koontz and John Hutchinson discussing their ability to neutralize gravity, and all they got to show for it is some film that was shot in the mid eighties, and George eats it up like hot dogs at Coney Island?  John Hutchinson came across like a normal guy (looking a little like Axel Rose at his myspace page), but Dr. Koontz was a raving lunatic.  He sounded like JC on speed, screaming at times, interrupting everyone, and declaring that the universe was not expanding, and that the big bang never occurred.  George agreed with him on the big bang, saying, "The big bang?  Yeah, I've heard of it.  I may not agree with it, but I've heard of it."  Really George? Tell that to Michio Kaku next time you have him on.  Oh, yeah, they also claimed to be able to create a free energy device, but they can't build one right now because of some reason or another.  Yeah.  Right.  Sure.

I like the bar at the top to find past show topics and guest information.  Those are the two main things that I go to the website for, so to be able to get to them a little faster is nice.  I like it that I don't have to scroll down for the links.

I love it when someone calls George and asks "have you ever heard of Doctor X?" and George invariably replies "Sure he's been on the show, he's a great scientist/doctor/physicist or whatever".

I always wonder exactly how can George judge who is and is not a 'great scientist'? I can just see George staring at a whiteboard full of equations "Well your calculations check out"........

Last night's show was soooooooooooooo bad. Crystal skulls? I mean really, WTF? He loves these damn kooks with the crystal skulls, and then on open lines his regular kooks call in and babble about them too.

I also love the hurricane "expert" he trotted out at the top of the show. It's clear the guy just watches the Weather Channel a lot. Then George says "I've never been in a storm with winds over 70 miles per hour........I bet that could knock you over, couldn't it?".

You also missed his epic story about assisting a St. Louis waiter at his favorite restaurant (probably Chili's) tackle a guy who pulled a dine and dash.

Yeah, that was pretty bad.  I did chuckle when one of the callers said that he bought crystal skulls at a garage sale.  When he put one to his ear it said "hi."  It was amusing that they took him completely seriously.

He was really in his "patronizing" mode Friday night when he went into open lines the last half of show, again dumbing down
his callers... "whoa, it had 3 legs!?, that's just crazy.. imagine having to walk with 3 legs" ..  -- shutup George. Now there's
this weird thing they do when his studio buddy chimes in from the side with TEXT messages he receives from listeners
(ahahaha... totally dumb idea) .. like this is really going to add spark to already failing show. There's a Wired article on
how listeners to the show have increased since Noory took the reigns, although i think it's just cause (if even true about
ratings!?) that more people are interested in the conspiracy/supernatural/offbeat subjects ... but the article has Snoory
gloating about himself.

Now he's on again tonight, and it's Sunday when Knapp is supposed to be hosting, ugh. Joye Pugh can be found ranting on
Youtube about antichrist and other fun stuff (666). Anymore, i look forward to Knapp and Punnett and especially Art filling
in. Snoory's "secret door"(oh god) thing is just a cover for not having days covered in advance with guests.

so how was that fools big event perceived anyway?  the event on the Mall or whatever?  from where i sit it seemed like a dull thud on the national consciousness.  haven't seen too many referrences to it in the media.  does anyone else have a sense of how this went over?

i just remember thinking how Beck seemed a lot like a Hughie Long type ... or that he was trying to come off that way.  and that a theocratic fascist state might be right around the corner if we have a really terrible terrorist event.  and of course ... sarah palin ... sold her governorship for a bench seat at fox news ... seemed like a total moron.  why people rally behind her i have no idea.  she seems like the most transparent opportunist.  even amongst other politicians

This is what Ian is great at. One of the first times I heard him he had some guy on, a regular I think, that claimed there were Native American buildings, deep in the desert with Hebrew marking that pre-dated Coulumbus's arrival in the new world.

So Ian asks where exactly are they, well of course I can't tell you because blah, blah blah. Ian kept pressing to be taken there, shown pictures etc. Finally he gave up short of calling the guy a liar, and he was polite the whole time, but anyone listening could see what the guy was about. Ian does this all the time, he presses until the person makes a string of lame excuses and then he politely moves on, which IMO is the perfect way to handle these people.

then all you need to do is watch his tv show on any given day, and there's a 50% likelihood he'll cry for you.  thus, if you were to watch for an entire week, you're likely to see him cry 2.5 times.  i had said on the radio trainwreck show that the guy is half bat-shit, and evelyn countered that he's just a good actor.  i think she pegged it.

yup, you're right.  i've heard ian disembowel liars more than once on c2c.  remember two or three halloweens back, ian had some pony-tailed douche on talking about a box invented by a friend of his which he uses to communicate with the dead?  ian really just facially raped that guy for being a complete fraud.
