I like this one as well http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/, I like the multiple locations to test around the country. Helps me narrow down problems at times.

This is good, when someone is trying to brute force once of your computers, and you'd like to know who to contact about abuse, for that IP. http://samspade.org/

Post some results!

That is with powerboost active on the download.  I should get about 8 megabit in the long run.  Signed up for 8/2.

I have heard a lot of people complain about Comcast, but I think their service is really superb.  I have an outage maybe twice a year, and when I do it is fixed within a few hours.  And yes, the speed is great.  I download 6mb podcast mp3s in about 5 seconds.

I also use Comcast - and am perfectly happy with them. HOWEVER keep in mind they do get a little neurotic from time to time. Someone at the U was indulging in piracy (SOMEONE!  HELL!  More than half the CAMPUS!) and Comcast blocked the U's ISP.  It was months before i could access any of my stuff from the general lab computers.

hmmmm .. . download a tad slow this morning.

when you have a connection that fast... it might be a bandwidth bottleneck on speedtest.net's side.
