The story of the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas is one of the wholesale extermination of innocent human life by a government that invades other nations for the purpose of "spreading freedom and democracy."  I think everybody needs to know exactly what happened in Waco that day, and I'd like to make a video recommendation.  It's Waco: The Rules of Engagement.  This is one of the most depressing historical records I've seen in recent memory.  I always knew Waco was an attack on American liberty and personal freedom, but I never knew the extent to which our own government went in the course of keeping "order" in Waco.

As Americans, if we are going to expose the slaughter of innocent human life elsewhere by the tyrants and thugs of this world, we must also be willing to study and expose government sanctioned murder when it occurs here.  Failure to do so erodes our own ability to continue embracing basic human rights, individual freedoms, and limited government power over our lives.  We must expose murder regardless of the political party in power, and regardless of who leads that party.

These poor people were simply trapped and then butchered like cattle.  God bless America.

Coast to Coast AM Topics / Re: What happened to C2C Bumper Music?
« Last post by Q on Today at 06:53:33 PM »
I am a Coast To Coast Fanatic (well... an Art Bell show fanatic) and one of my favorite things about C2C was the eclectic choice of music that fit the topic and the mood of the show so well. Plus as a 25 year old, a lot of C2C's music was music I hadn't heard before and it introduced me to some new stuff I like (MV's Bumper Music page is excellent) Also a lot of Art's music just flat out rocked. Ride My Sea Saw with the crazy guy reading the poem is one of my favorite openings of all time.

However now whenever I tune in, the music is all so painfully lame. It's slow whiny emotional music that sounds like something a depressed 50 year divorcee would listen to. I listen to C2C in my car at night (I'm a total night person) and the music is often so cringe worthy I have to change the station.

What do you guys think?

Well I think you're spot on.

Always loved hearing RMS as Art kicked things off - kind of electified the opening
and laid out the nights' vibe.

These days like so many others here I tend to find myself not listening addictively anymore
but rather choosing individual shows based on topic more than anything else.

As far as the bumper music goes - most of it these days are about as appetizing as a steaming bowl of shite... albeit
music may definitely in the ear of the beholder - that doesn't necessarily mean that my ears need this particular beholding.  ;)

It was a complete and total surprise.  The goonball working second shift didn't even mention it.  The parking lot was circular, so the way that I came in I didn't even see all of the white cars.  I FREAKED when I realized what was going on.  I'd even read an article about it in the USA Today a few minutes before they started walking in.

I had a crazy, wild Coast 2 Coast night back in the '90's.  I worked third shift at a hotel and one of the topics was about a Taiwanese UFO Cult that had gone to Gary, IN from Garland, TX to wait for a UFO that was supposed to come and take them away.  They went there and waited and then finally gave up and headed back to Texas.  Art talked about it for a long time that night.

Unbeknownst to me, they were staying in the hotel that night.  About 5 am a bunch of Asians, all dressed in white with white cowboy hats  start filling the lobby.  Lemme be the first to tell you that you've never seen anything until you see a couple dozen Asians in cowboy hats.  They were all driving the exact same white cars.  I was laughing so hard.  I tried to talk to one that was wearing a gold belt because I figured he was the leader, but he didn't speak much English.  I did manage to have a conversation with a couple of them.  God only knows what I said because I didn't have much couth back then.
were you at all expecting this to be a possibility, or was it a complete surprise when they came walking in?
